kinetixui.json
kinetixui init writes this file at your project root. kinetixui add
reads it to know where files go.
{
"$schema": "https://kinetixui.com/schema/config.json",
"tailwind": {
"css": "app/globals.css"
},
"aliases": {
"components": "@/components",
"ui": "@/components/ui",
"lib": "@/lib",
"utils": "@/lib/utils"
},
"srcDir": true
}| Field | Does |
|---|---|
tailwind.css | where the token contract (:root / .dark variables) is written |
aliases.ui | where component files land, e.g. add button → <ui>/button.tsx |
aliases.lib | where shared library files (like utils.ts) land |
srcDir | prefix every path above with src/ |
registry | optional — where add / list / inspect / doctor fetch from. Omitted by default, which means https://kinetixui.com/r. Set it to a mirror if your builds cannot depend on that origin; --registry still wins when passed |
No kinetixui.json? add still works — it falls back to the defaults shown
above (matching a standard create-next-app layout with @/* mapped to
src/* in tsconfig.json).
